Jus Kno Mac performs live at Roc-D-Mic at Club Yakum in Houston, Texas, on January 2, 2015. Preserved in the Dammit Boy Productions DBTV archive, the footage documents Jus Kno Mac during the Club Yakum chapter of the recurring Houston independent hip-hop showcase.
The 12-minute performance documents a four-song set. Jus Kno Mac opens with “What I’m Talking About” at 0:00, followed by “Money” at approximately 3:15, “I Know It” at 5:50, and “Hope You Ain’t Trippin” at approximately 8:19.
The surviving recording preserves Jus Kno Mac performing directly on the Roc-D-Mic stage and provides a dated record of his participation in Houston’s independent live-performance circuit during this period.
Hosted by Wickett Crickett, Roc-D-Mic provided independent artists with a recurring platform to perform live in Houston. During the Club Yakum period, Dammit Boy Productions became increasingly involved with the events, with Tre Dizzle working Roc-D-Mic as a DJ in addition to participating as an artist.
Jus Kno Mac’s appearance is part of the surviving group of DBTV recordings documenting performers who appeared on the Roc-D-Mic stage during the Club Yakum era.
This performance was filmed January 2, 2015 and originally published January 5, 2015. The same date is represented elsewhere in the DBTV archive through surviving performances by artists including Boleggz and C-Clain, allowing the individual recordings to collectively reconstruct portions of that night at Club Yakum.
The footage also contributes to the broader DBP record of Jus Kno Mac, whose history with Dammit Boy Productions extends beyond Roc-D-Mic and includes music recorded through DBP.
Preserved through the DBTV archive, this performance documents Jus Kno Mac, Wickett Crickett’s Roc-D-Mic platform, Club Yakum, and Dammit Boy Productions during an active period in Houston’s independent hip-hop scene.
Together with the other surviving January 2, 2015 recordings, the footage helps reconstruct a single night through multiple individual performances while contributing to the larger historical record of the artists, songs, venues, events, and relationships preserved by Dammit Boy Productions.
